Up2You is an innovative startup with a social vocation born in January 2020 by Andrea, Alessandro and Lorenzo with the aim of making sustainability convenient for everyone.
To achieve this goal it addresses companies and their customers, working on active involvement and environmental education.
How? A ticket has been created for companies to give to their customers or employees a unique code to plant a tree. In this way the company supports reforestation projects and at the same time brings its stakeholders closer to environmental issues. In parallel to this service, the team is working on another project, namely the creation of a green community where users are rewarded with points (ECOin) for completing sustainable missions. The points can be spent within a network of companies that are committed to offering products with a minimal environmental impact.
Up2You is also a young and innovative startup, with a team under 30 and different skills in the digital and environmental fields.
Up2You main principles:
In order to reach the COP21 objectives and avoid global warming it is necessary to act quickly with actions that can reduce the level of CO2 in the atmosphere. The transition to a completely eco-sustainable system is not easy and above all the costs do not allow all players to change their production. By supporting reforestation projects, the principle of compensation is applied, helping projects that aim to rehabilitate areas particularly damaged by climate change.
Planting a tree has a limited impact if it is not accompanied by a change in its daily actions. Greater awareness in one's daily choices turns simple gestures, such as buying food or clothing, into a trend. The change in consumer habits brings companies, but also institutions, to adapt to this transformation by modifying production and strategic choices.
The theme of sustainability and reforestation projects.
Up2You is aware that the theme of sustainability is complex and despite its main focus is on the environmental aspect, it tries to approach sustainability at 360 degrees: from environmental, economic and social point of views. For this reason, the selection of reforestation projects takes into account different criteria, such as educational impact or attention to the biodiversity of the ecosystem.
An example is given by the brand new Sardinian Olive grove that deals with the recovery of abandoned land in the Sulcis area which, through organic farming techniques and low water consumption, gives work to the local population affected by high unemployment rates, while preserving local traditions and promoting the growth of endemic olive species. Or the project in India, where the trees planted are cared for by 20 local schools in Pannur: in this case the tree brings with it values such as patience and tenacity, to which, in today's society, characterized by "everything and now", one is no longer accustomed.
