Carola Sanzio

Carola Sanzio is currently pursuing a degree in Diplomatic and International Sciences at the University of Bologna, where she has developed strong skills in the realm of geopolitics and international relations. Thanks to an academic experience abroad at Marmara University in Istanbul, she was able to deepen her studies with a focus on the Middle East, with a particular interest for the region's social and political structures and the international relations these countries maintain.

Driven by her fascination for the complexity of the Middle Eastern socio-political landscape, Carola has centered her studies on the cultural, religious, and economic factors that influence the region's internal dynamics and its relationships with the rest of the world.

Her academic journey has been enriched by international experiences and scholarships, allowing her to take part in cultural exchange programs and international projects at Sønderjyllands Gymnasium in Denmark and Max Steenbeck Gymnasium in Germany. These opportunities enabled her to expand her understanding of global dynamics and inter-country relations, while also strengthening her language skills.

Since September 2024, she has held the position of Junior Researcher at G.E.O. in the Culture&Society section.
