Domenico Rocca

Domenico Rocca began his academic journey by earning a degree in Political and Social Sciences from the University of Turin, with a thesis on the routes, commercialization processes, and spread of heroin among young people and Italian extra-parliamentary movements in the 1970s and 1980s.

Driven by a desire to deepen his understanding of global political and cultural dynamics, he subsequently obtained a Master’s Degree in International Sciences at the same university, presenting a thesis on the relationship between the People's Republic of China, the water crisis, and the race for hydro-hegemony in the Asia-Pacific region.

In 2023, he completed a Master’s in Geopolitics and Global Security at Sapienza University of Rome, culminating with research on the structural, socio-cultural, and criminal dynamics contributing to Libya’s instability. Simultaneously, he gained professional experience in the private intelligence sector, developing skills in collecting and analyzing data and information to interpret the complexity of political, criminal, terrorist, and social phenomena.

His main areas of interest include contemporary history, geopolitics, the study of urban subcultures, youth deviance processes, organized crime, and political extremism in Italy.

Within Mondo Internazionale he holds the role of Junior Policy Analyst for HUB.
