Ing. Alessandro Zacchei

Ing. Zacchei graduated in Electronic Engineering at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and specialized in Radar Detection and Recognition Systems: his final thesis analyzed “Processing of 1 byte SAR images”. With more than 25 years of working experience, Ing. Zaccheri has been part of consulting and system integration ICT firms within both private sector (Media and Telecommunications precisely) and Public Administration. Here Ing. Zacchei held managing positions of tech Business Unit: particularly, he was in charge of profit&loss and design delivery activities. Specifically, Ing. Zacchei took care of project management and design of multi-channel and multi-device web solutions, middleware of integration, knowledge management systems and study of enterprise IoT systems.

He is currently part of teams developing unmanned cooperative, terrestrial (UGV) and air (Class UAV mini) platforms using AI for dual use applications and slow recharge sustainable solutions for electric vehicles. Also, since 2015 Ing. Zacchei has been conducting research about aero-space at the Ce.Mi.S.S.:

  • 2015: 5th generation aircraft, integration with legacy platforms (aerial, maritime, terrestrial) in a future net-centric arena. Challenges for a renovated concept of usage.
  • 2016: Interactions between Space and Aerial environment, analysis and considerations about their growing interdependence in the context of upcoming conflicts. Weaknesses originating from the less strong supremacy of Western powers in the Space dominion.
  • 2017: Aero-spatial dominion, as a natural evolution of the aviation one, represents the rappresenta l’ambiente abilitante per la fornitura di servizi essenziali ormai indispensabili per soddisfare le esigenze di uno strumento militare nazionale efficace - compliant with the White Paper - enhancing its performance, even in dual use perspective.
  • 2020: Prospects about the role of Aerial and Space Power on the challenges posed by upcoming multi-dominion operations.

Since 2019 INg. Zacchei has been part of CESMA (Centro Militare Studi Aeronautici"Giulio Douhet") Scientific and Technical Committee for the research about dual use artificial intelligence applications. He attended (PMI program) project management courses, System Engineering courses (University ofNew South Wales), Data Analysis courses (Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health) and at the Gustav Käeser Training International management and communication trainings.
