Saverio Lesti has been Head Researcher - Security & Defense Area of MI G.E.O. since January 2021 and Head Researcher MI G.E.O. - Underwater and Underwater Safety Area of Mondo Internazionale of MI G.E.O.. Furthermore, since October 2022, he has also held the position of Advisor of MI G.E.O. .
He has a background in international studies with a master's degree at the "Cesare Alfieri" faculty of political science in Florence in the genesis and development of European integration, with a thesis on the relationship between Margaret Thatcher and CEE in the years 1979-83. He holds a first-level master's degree in strategic military international relations from the Higher Institute of Joint Force Staff with a final paper on the use of police forces with military status in international operations. In 2018 he received the Serra Award from the Spadolini Foundation - Nuova Antologia, to reward the thesis most distinguished in developing a research theme in the History of International Relations.
Research interests include the history of international relations, military history, geopolitics, the world of security and defense as a whole.
