Marta Gonzaga Thorbjornsen

Originally from Portugal, Marta Thorbjornsen has lived in several locations throughout her life, spending a large part of her childhood in Milan, Italy, where her passion for international affairs and languages was born.

From her experience in the NATO Innovation Hub, since 2021, she has contributed to innovative international security and humanitarian aid projects. Marta founded an NGO, Allied Volunteers, in 2021 after the crisis in Afghanistan to support the integration of refugee populations in Europe.

Recently relocated to Berlin, Marta is learning German and participating in courses on sustainability and development, areas she intends to explore further in her Master's studies.
