Culture of Defense: Communication, Geopolitics and Training for the National Interest at LUISS

On 18 September 2025, the event “Culture of Defense: communication, geopolitics, training for the national interest” was held at LUISS Guido Carli University, focusing on the role of language and narrative strategies in shaping public perceptions of security and in defining the relationship between citizens, institutions and the defense sector.

The discussion explored key themes such as the communicative dimension of security and defense, the promotion of joint training programs between the civilian and military spheres, and the contribution of scientific research to strengthening collective awareness and resilience.

The initiative brought together experts in security, international relations, academia and policy, who offered high‑level insights into the role of defense in contemporary society.
