Mondo Internazionale APS celebrates El Grito with the Embassy of Mexico in Rome

On 19 September 2026, Mondo Internazionale APS had the honor of attending El Grito, the official celebration organized by the Embassy of Mexico in Rome to commemorate the 215th anniversary of the beginning of the Mexican War of Independence.

The celebration recalls the night of 16 September 1810, when priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla pronounced the historic Grito de Dolores, calling the Mexican people to rise against Spanish rule. That call ignited a movement that, eleven years later, would lead to the birth of a free and independent Mexico.

Throughout the evening, guests experienced a vibrant journey through Mexican culture, enriched by mariachi music, traditional cuisine, and institutional moments that highlighted enduring values such as freedom, justice, and unity — principles that continue to inspire societies around the world.

The participation of Mondo Internazionale APS underscored our commitment to cultural diplomacy and to fostering meaningful connections between peoples and cultures.
