The European Charlemagne Youth Prize 2024

Mondo Internazionale Post, a division of Mondo Internazionale APS, presented the winning project Europeasy (from the combination of “Europe” and “easy”). Ahead of the 2019 European elections, the members of the Association committed themselves to providing accurate information on how the EU works, on the objectives it has achieved, and on its challenges.

The project was born as an online blog where the authors of Mondo Internazionale APS published articles on various aspects of European politics, while also seeking to make them easier to understand and to promote a sense of community. To encourage people to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the EU, a dedicated section was created within the blog to collect Erasmus and internship experiences from members of Mondo Internazionale APS. All of this contributed to building a structured editorial line capable of capturing the attention of university students and other young people interested in understanding the European Union and its opportunities.

Europeasy has always maintained an impartial and objective approach, rejecting ideological interpretations of political dynamics. The project grew at record speed, eventually becoming in 2022 the current MI Post division, the online news outlet of Mondo Internazionale APS. This division is structured as a real editorial team, with editors-in-chief living in different parts of Europe, all united by the passion for describing objective reality and providing the tools needed to understand European and international politics.

Thanks to winning this call, President Michele Pavan, as representative, was invited to the award ceremony held in Aachen. The prize was awarded by the President of the European Parliament and by representatives of the International Charlemagne Prize Foundation of Aachen.
