Seminar on Europe and Federalism: Youth, Rights and New Perspectives

On 18 April 2026, Aurora Forlivesi, member of Mondo Internazionale APS, took part in the Regional Training Seminar on Europe and Federalism held in Bologna. The initiative, promoted by the European Federalist Movement – Emilia‑Romagna Regional Centre, the Young European Federalists Emilia‑Romagna, and the Paride Baccarini Institute for Studies on Federalism and European Unity APS, focused on “Democracy and rights in the European integration process” and “Europe in the new global order.”

The seminar offered young participants a space for reflection, dialogue and federalist education, exploring the legal, political and geopolitical dimensions of European integration. Scholars, experts and youth activists discussed European citizenship, democratic participation, and the challenges the European Union faces in today’s shifting global landscape.

For Mondo Internazionale APS, Aurora’s participation reflects the association’s commitment to youth engagement, active citizenship and European civic education. The discussions provided meaningful insights into the role of younger generations in shaping a more democratic, cohesive and resilient Europe, reinforcing the importance of critical thinking and informed participation in European public life.
