The Italian Embassy in Quito was established in 1951 in a patrimonial building built in 1926. The relationship between Italy and Ecuador has always been based on collaboration and respect. One of the reasons is the italian community which lives completely integrated with the local one and fosters economical exchanges.
Furthermore numerous big Italian Companies have subsidiaries in Ecuador. There is also an increasing interest in smaller investments thanks to the trade agreement between the European Union and Ecuador that is gonna make the relationship more dynamic.
