Alessia Borromeo
Alessia Borromeo is a Senior Researcher in Mondo Internazionale G.E.O.’s Politics team. She holds a BA in International Relations and Global Affairs from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and completed a dual-degree Master’s programme in Labour Studies and Social Policy at the University of Bremen and the University of Milan.
She currently works at Percorsi di Secondo Welfare, a research lab of the University of Milan, where her research focuses on welfare and social policy, particularly health, vulnerability, and access to services. Her previous research experience includes work at the Collaborative Research Centre 1342 “Global Dynamics of Social Policy” at the University of Bremen, as well as an Erasmus+ traineeship at the Unité de Recherche Migrations et Société at Université Côte d’Azur.
Her main research interests include migration, social policy and vulnerability, with a particular focus on their political and social implications across Europe and the Mediterranean.
