Aysenur Merdan

Aysenur Merdan is a Senior Researcher in Defence and Security within the GEO division of Mondo Internazionale. She is currently a second-year Master’s student in International Relations and Diplomatic Sciences at the University of Bologna, where she has developed a strong academic background in international relations, with a particular focus on international security, military alliances, and global governance. Throughout her academic journey, she has gained international experience through an Erasmus exchange at the University of Birmingham, where she has further developed her focus on international security, military alliances, and global governance. She is also a co-founder and advisor of the MSOI Bologna branch (Italian Society for International Organization – Youth Movement), where she is actively involved in organising conferences, meetings, and academic activities, contributing to the promotion of discussions on key international issues.
