Chiara Merlin
Chiara Merlin was born in Bosa, a town in central Sardinia in 2002. She graduated in July 2024 in the curriculum in International and Diplomatic Sciences at the University of Bologna. She is currently attending the Sapienza University's Master's degree course in International Relations and Supranational Institutions. She was awarded for University Talent by Fondazione Italia-USA, ranking among the top 1000 recent graduates in Italy in the field of international relations.
Always passionate about international political events, she pursues various topics including human rights, geopolitics and international current affairs. These passions are supported by numerous activities that she pursues beyond her university studies. She was an intern at an NGO with special consultative status at the United Nations, where she presented Oral Statements at the Human Rights Council, as well as reports and dossiers on various countries around the world. Also within the UN, she served 3 terms as a UN Volunteer. She is currently a trainee at the Emilia-Romagna Delegation for the EU, deepening European issues.
She has been with Mondo Internazionale for the past 2 and half years, first as a Junior Researcher at Mondo Internazionale GEO-Politics, then as a content producer and now as Deputy Director of Mondo Internazionale Post.
The desire, curiosity and determination to engage in a serious project led her to accept the position of Deputy Director for Mondo Post International;
