Lara Tarantino

Lara Tarantino holds a Bachelor’s degree in International and Diplomatic Sciences from the University of Genoa and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in African and Asian Studies at the University of Pavia, aiming for a future career in geopolitical analysis and strategic research in international relations.

She expanded her expertise through a research traineeship at the Institute for National Defense and Security Research (INDSR) in Taipei, where she conducted direct analysis of Chinese-language primary sources. She further honed her language skills through advanced study programs at Tsinghua University in Beijing and the Taiwan Chinese Academy, and since 2026, she has been writing on Asia-Pacific politics for the magazine European Affairs.

As a Research Senior for the Economics division at Mondo Internazionale, she covers geopolitical analysis with a specific focus on national and international economic and geoeconomic dynamics.
