Laura Battaini

Laura completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Milan and went on to pursue a Master's degree in International and Diplomatic Sciences at the University of Bologna. She furthered her specialization through an Erasmus period in France and a Diploma in Geopolitics from the ISPI School. 

Alongside this academic path, she gained hands-on experience, first through an internship with a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of political refugees, and later through a MAECI-CRUI internship at the Italian Consulate General in Philadelphia. 

She currently works as Junior Project Manager at Almost Real, an Italian deep-tech start-up specializing in immersive XR and LVC training systems for high-risk operational environments. As of July 2026, she holds the position of Senior Researcher in the Defence and Security area at Mondo Internazionale.
