Maria Teresa Mazzoccoli

Maria Teresa Mazzoccoli lives in Matera. She had a classical education and, after initially studying Primary Education Sciences, decided to pursue her passion for languages by enrolling on the Linguistic Mediation course at the SSML Nelson Mandela. 

Here she refined and deepened her knowledge of English, French, and Japanese, acquiring new skills in translation and interpreting and graduating with top marks and honours with a dissertation that combined two of her passions: comics and dialect.

Literary translation is her calling: she was raised on books, has a background as a book blogger, attends two book clubs, and seizes every opportunity to add new titles to her bookshelf. Unrelentingly curious, her interests range from the humanities to the environment, from civil and social rights to pop culture. 

Since May 2026, she is a Copy Editor for Mondo Internazionale Post.
