Marta Praticò
Marta Praticò is currently a Master’s student in International Relations and Diplomatic Sciences at the University of Bologna (Transnational Challenges and Global Governance curriculum) with a particular interest in international law, global governance, and the dynamics of the SWANA region. She holds a Bachelor’s degree cum laude in Languages, Markets and Cultures of Asia and Mediterranean Africa from the same university, where she developed a strong interest in migration, human rights, and Euro-Mediterranean relations.
During her academic path, she gained significant international experience, including an Erasmus period in Paris and a semester in Morocco at the Université Internationale de Rabat, where she explored issues related to security in the Mediterranean and the Sahel. In Rabat, she also served as a staff member for the Policy Center for the New South during the Atlantic Dialogues.
She is co-founder and Vice Secretary of the MSOI Bologna representation (Italian Society for International Organization), where she contributes to the organization of events on international security, disarmament and non-proliferation, as well as institutional visits and related activities.
She is fluent in English and French, self-taught in Turkish, and is currently studying Spanish and Arabic. She has been selected for a traineeship with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, which she will undertake at the Italian Embassy in Damascus from May to August 2026.
She currently serves as Junior Researcher in the Defence & Security team at Mondo Internazionale G.E.O.
