Pietro Damiani

Pietro Damiani achieved a B.A. in language mediation from the University of Milan and a  M.A. in China Studies from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. During his coursework, he  spent a month at Beijing Language and Culture University and was an exchange student  at Jilin International Studies University (Changchun, China) for a semester.

His interests revolve around China’s foreign policy and political economy. This has led  him to join European Guanxi, a network of young China watchers that aims at analysing  the EU-China relationship, where he serves as Membership Officer. Besides, he is passionate about Chinese economic History, especially in a global context. Pietro speaks Italian, English and Chinese, allowing him to communicate easily in several contexts as well as to analyse Chinese primary sources and other research material.

Pietro is Junior Researcher at Mondo Internazionale G.E.O., in the section “Politics”.
