Rebecca Ballancin

Graduated in Development and International Cooperation from the University of Bologna, Rebecca is currently specialising in Economics of Transitions, Innovation and Knowledge at the University of Strasbourg.

Passionate about economics and sustainability and driven by a deep curiosity for global
dynamics, she complements her academic training with concrete research experience: over the years she has worked both within university settings and with research organisations and associations, conducting comparative analyses on circular economy and decarbonisation that have allowed her to develop a rigorous approach to economic analysis and sustainability policy.

Her knowledge of French, English, Spanish and German allows her to navigate international sources and contexts with ease, enriching her analytical perspective beyond the boundaries of national debate. Curious, methodical and at home in multicultural environments, Rebecca believes that economic research plays a fundamental role in steering policy decisions towards an ecological and social transition that is both fair and effective.

Within Mondo Internazionale, Rebecca serves as Senior Researcher for the Economics area in the G.E.O. division.
