Valeria Picciolo

Valeria Picciolo was born in Messina in 2003. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Diplomatic and International Sciences from the University of Bologna, Forlì Campus, graduating with top honors (110/110 cum laude). She is currently enrolled in the Master’s degree program in International Relations, curriculum in Crime, Justice and Security at Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna.

During her academic career, she completed an Erasmus experience at Radboud University in Nijmegen (Netherlands), where she deepened her knowledge of topics related to sustainable development and the economics of well being.

Always interested in the dynamics of international politics and global security, she focuses her analysis on geopolitics, international relations, and strategic competition, with particular attention to Asia and the Far East. Her approach integrates historical, economic, and political perspectives, aiming to connect major theoretical models with the transformations of the contemporary international order.

Within Mondo Internazionale APS, Valeria collaborates as an author for Mondo Internazionale Post and serves as Deputy Managing Editor of the “Framing the World” division.
