From 9 to 13 February, the Vice President of Mondo Internazionale APS, Dr. Kaitlyn Rabe, took part in the sixth edition of the International Workshop for Leadership and Stability, held in Islamabad and organized by the Institute for Strategic Studies, Research & Analysis (ISSRA). The initiative brought together young leaders, researchers, and professionals from various countries to explore the political, strategic, and cultural dynamics of Pakistan and the broader region.
During the workshop, Dr. Rabe participated in high-level institutional meetings, including a visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and an official encounter with the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari. The program also featured cultural engagements at the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage and the Al-Faisal Mosque, offering a direct perspective on how Pakistan’s history and cultural identity intersect with its contemporary political institutions.
Reflecting on the experience, Dr. Rabe emphasized the value of the diverse perspectives encountered throughout the workshop and the importance of engaging with local actors to understand the complexity of today’s global contexts. She also highlighted how cultural diplomacy, central to the mission of Mondo Internazionale APS, remains an essential tool for interpreting global dynamics in the current “post-truth” era.
Mondo Internazionale APS expresses its gratitude to ISSRA and all participants for their hospitality and the quality of the dialogue, hoping that this experience will pave the way for future collaborations and new opportunities for exchange with Pakistan.
