The Director of Mondo Internazionale G.E.O, Chiara Bianco, attended the 2026 edition of the Turin International Book Fair. The Turin Book Fair continues to stand out as one of Europe’s most significant cultural events. The 2026 edition, inspired by Elsa Morante’s Il mondo salvato dai ragazzini ("The World Saved by the Kids"), highlighted the strong connection between literature, public debate, and global challenges.
Throughout the event, panels and discussions addressed key contemporary topics, including politics, journalism, artificial intelligence, healthcare, memory, and identity. From conversations on AI and society to book presentations, the event highlighted the power of storytelling as a tool for reflection and connection.
A particularly meaningful moment was attending the meeting with Bernie Sanders, moderated by Francesco Costa. At a time marked by increasing political uncertainty, hearing a prominent American political figure reaffirm the importance of democratic values, participation, and transatlantic dialogue felt especially significant.
For Mondo Internazionale APS, Chiara Bianco’s participation further reflects the organization’s commitment to promoting youth engagement and fostering critical thinking. The experience at the book fair offered valuable insights into the role of culture as a lens through which to interpret global dynamics and contemporary challenges.
