Elisa Bruni

Elisa was born and raised in Conegliano Veneto (Italy), where she got her high school diploma in 2019. Back then, modern Greek had already sparked her interest, since part of her family had been living in Greece for generations.

Therefore, she decided to further explore this connection by enrolling in the bachelor’s degree programme of Language, Civilisation and the Science of Language at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, where she first became interested in translation. She graduated in 2023, presenting a bachelor’s thesis on the graphic novel Aivali, focusing on the historical narrative of the population exchange in the Greco-Turkish war and the intra and intergenerational conflict between the two populations.

Thanks to the Erasmus+ Programme for traineeship she lived in Athens for a year, where she worked at a publishing house, connecting with a variety of cultural organizations and translating from English and modern Greek.

She now plans to continue her studies and specialize in translation.

At Mondo Internazionale she holds the position of Translator.
