Francesco Ancona
Francesco Ancona holds a master's degree in International Relations, specializing in International Politics and Regional Dynamics with a focus on Southeast Asia, and a Bachelor's degree in International Sciences and European Institutions, both from the University of Milan. In 2022, he obtained the ISPI Diploma in “Geopolitics and International Security.”
In 2021, he began collaborating with Mondo Internazionale “Post” as an author for the “Framing the World” section, for which he has written several articles on Afghanistan, China, the Middle East, and NATO. In 2022, he joined the Defense and Security team of the G.E.O. division as a Junior Researcher, becoming a Senior Researcher in 2025. His analyses focus on the geopolitics of the Arctic and East Asia, the development and use of autonomous weapons systems, Artificial Intelligence, and International Humanitarian Law.
