Giuliana Cătălina Băruș

Giuliana Cătălina Băruș. Studies in International & EU Law in Trieste.

Besides Law & human rights, passionate about geopolitics, narrative journalism, photoreportage, underground music and independent cinema.

Since always “permanently dislocated – un voyageur sur la terre” – living the physical and metaphorical borders, the elective lands of those who feel at home only in the intersectionality of identitary overlays: evolving reality can be better observed from the extremes, rather than from the center.

Traveling to write – especially about migrations, conflicts and human rights – and writing to travel, in constant search of inner geographies in order to explore the ambiguity and shadows created by light.

In the past year, she traveled and lived in four different countries: Romania, her native land, Albania, Georgia and Türkyie. Fascinated, therefore, by the post-Soviet space of Central & Eastern Europe; by the millenary culture of the Mediterranean; and by the faceted complexity of the Middle East.

In Mondo Internazionale Post, she is author for the themed area “International Organisations”.
