Isabel Garcia

Isabel Garcia obtained a BA in Foreign Languages for International Relations at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano, where she discovered her interest in geopolitics and wrote her dissertation on Trump’s political communication and its socio-cultural consequences on the Mexican and Asian communities.

Afterwards, she decided to move to the UK and obtain a MSc in International Security & Risk at University of Southampton, an experience that allowed her to further explore her interest in the security and counter-terrorism fields and inspired her to write her dissertation on the phenomenon of extremist radicalisation of videogame content linked to the rise of interactions between terrorist acts and videogames.

She is very passionate about foreign languages: in fact, Isabel studied Russian, speaks English at a C1 level, speaks French and Spanish, and is studying Swedish.

Finally, she is very interested in cybersecurity and computer science: in fact, she just started a course offered by HarvardX called ‘CS50’s Introduction to Computer Science’.

Isabel joined Mondo Internazionale G.E.O. as a Junior Researcher for the Politics Division.
