Jakob Burkhart

Jakob J. Burkhart was born and raised between Milan and Luxembourg.

He is currently a student at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, in the faculty of Political Science and International Relations. In his undergraduate studies, he followed the curriculum of 'Institutions, Governance, and Public Policies', where he defended his thesis titled" I federalismi in evoluzione: il caso tedesco dal 1949 al 2006".

In his master's degree, he is in his second year of European and International Policies, specialising in 'International System and European Integration'. His thesis will explore the contraposition between land and sea, extending it to air and upper-space – all from the lenses of international relations.

Throughout his academic journey, he has focused on understanding the dynamics within the international system, particularly to comprehend the political, economic, institutional, and social phenomena characterising the increasingly complex international reality. Additionally, he has a passion for history, especially contemporary European and Atlantic history.

He joined Mondo Internazionale G.E.O. in February 2023 as a Junior Researcher.
