Kaitlyn Rabe
Kaitlyn Rabe is a researcher and policy expert specialising in geopolitics, public health policy, and natural resource management. She is a lecturer at The Ohio State University, where she brings her international policy experience to the classroom.
Her regional expertise centres on the Sahel, the MENA region, and East Africa, with a focus on democratic governance, security, and environmental and economic challenges. She also serves as Senior Analyst at MInter Group Ltd., where she has led geopolitical and security analyses for clients including the European Parliament, and as Vice President and General Manager at Mondo Internazionale APS, overseeing research divisions in geopolitical analysis and public policy.
Rabe has presented her research at prominent international forums including the United Nations 4th Committee on Decolonization, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and the Food and Agriculture Organization’s World Food Forum. She holds a Master of Science in International Politics and Regional Dynamics from the Università degli Studi di Milano.
At Mondo Internazionale, Kaitlyn Rabe holds the position of Vice-President.
Kaitlyn Rabe, current Researcher Director of Mondo Internazionale - G.E.O., was born in Ohio, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts (Summa Cum Laude with Research Distinction) in International Studies and Italian at The Ohio State University. During her undergraduate career, she wrote a thesis on Italian fascist subversion in the Maghreb, for which she won "Honorable Mention" at the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum and was published in the university Undergraduate Research Journal, JUROS.
Having studied both Italian and French during her Bachelors degree, she decided to continue her studies in Europe, where she completed an MSc in International Relations (final grade of 110/110 and Honors) at the University of Milan. Here, she wrote a thesis on the governmental structure of the United Republic of Tanzania and resulting discrepancies of human development throughout the country; while visiting Tanzania, she discovered an affinity for the themes of food security and food sovereignty.
With Mondo Internazionale, she has participated in the 2021 World Food Forum and the 2022 IFAD Bridging the Gap between Research and Policy conference. Besides her role in Mondo Internazionale, she is also a Sociological and Political Consultant for Minter Group Srl and an English teacher.
At the moment, she is studying to become a certified Integrated Food Security Phase Classification analyst, and in her free time she enjoys studying languages, doing yoga, traveling, and cooking recipes from around the world.
