Prof.ssa Mara Maria Teresa Francese

Graduated with honors in Education (Major in Psychology) a the University of Turin, Professor Francese also took two Specializations in Cultural Anthropology (University of Turin); Medical Anthropology (University of Milan - Bicocca). She is also appointed Specialist at the Course Military Cooperation Functional Specialist, Achievement for successful completion of Functional Specialist CIMIC Group Commander NATO, at the Caserma Mario Fiore in Motta di Livenza (TV), as Major of the Italian Army.

She has been Professor of Anthropology and Gender Studies since 2004 at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Modern Cultures at the University of Turin: here Professor Francese conducts research activities about identity and immigration. She is also coordinator of integrative activities to the teaching within the degree in Cultural Anthropology. Since 2018 Professor Francese has been coordinator of seminars and lectures of Beni DEA, First Level Master Master course of “Cultural-Tourist Promotion and Organization of the Territory”. Moreover, since 2020 she is coordinator of support activities to the teaching in the courses of Cultural Geography and Geography of the Mediterranean World.

In November 2020 Professor Francese started teaching the course of Social psychology and cross-cultural communication at the IUL online university.
