Sara Anoun


Sara Anoun obtained her bachelor's degree in Political Sciences and International Relations from the University of Perugia in November 2021. She is currently a master's student at the University of Perugia, majoring in International Relations - International Conflicts, Foreign Policy Analysis, and Strategic Studies.

During the second year of her masters’s program, she completedan internship at the Office of the Umbria Region in Brussels, where she was responsible for monitoring the decision-makingprocesses of the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the Committee of the Regions. Her tasks includedtranslations, news writing for the website, and reporting on workshops held by European institutions and plenary sessions of the Committee.

In addition, she recently completed the MAECI CRUI internship at the Permanent Representation of Italy to the Council of Europe, dealing with diplomatic relations and participating in the work of the Council's decision-making bodies such as the Committee of Ministers and various working groups including GR-Programme, Budget and Administration, and GR-External Relations.

In the academic field, her primary interests lie in security studies, the MENA region, islamic terrorism and radicalization issues. 

At Mondo Internazionale, she holds the position of Deputy Director of the Secretariat and Coordination Team.
