On June 26, 2026, Anna Castellini, member of Mondo Internazionale APS, attended a seminar on the New EU Migration & Asylum Pact, organized by the Department of Law and Digital Society at UnitelmaSapienza within the Jean Monnet module EN-RULME, in collaboration with the Bar Association of Rome and the Italian Lawyers' Union for the Protection of Human Rights.
The seminar provided an opportunity to explore some of the most critical issues in the new reform of EU asylum and migration law: the growing use of externalisation policies and the difficulties in ensuring effective judicial protection for asylum seekers. Particular attention was given to the Albania case, a key example of how Italian and EU law interact in the externalised management of migration flows.
