Sara Galetta

Sara Galetta is a Master student in International Politics and Economics at the University of Bologna.

Born in Giulianova in 2000, after graduating from high school she started studying International and Diplomatic Sciences at the University of Bologna. She graduated with honors in July 2022 and then pursued a Master's degree intending to work in international institutions and organizations.

In January 2023, she received the Young America Award from the Italy USA Foundation at the Chamber of Deputies, an award reserved for 1,000 deserving young graduates from Italian universities. She was also awarded a full scholarship for a Master's Degree in 'Leadership for International Relations and Made in Italy'.

Her main interests are international relations and international economics, with a focus on development cooperation in poorer countries.

Her passion for foreign languages and cultures led her to spend six months in Germany, where she participated in the Erasmus+ program at the University of Potsdam.

In Mondo Internazionale, in her role as Senior Researcher in the Economics area of the G.E.O. division, she is looking forward to putting her studies into practice and exploring topics of particular interest to her.
